How to Be As Brave As Our LGBTQ+ Loved Ones

Dumbarton UMC Pastor Rev. Rachel Cornwell helped kick off the newest season of the Parents Reconciling Network’s (PRN) Virtual Porch Sessions, on Tuesday, Sept. 11, with her presentation, “As Brave As Them.” Rev. Cornwell encouraged participants to meet the bravery displaced by our LGBTQ+ loved ones in a world that seems increasingly cruel toward them—and to also find joy and add that important skill to our resilience toolkits.

For decades, the PRN Parents Reconciling Network has been providing support, learning, and advocacy on behalf of parents of LGBTQ+ kids as well as helping the Church to become a welcoming and affirming place.
