“What I liked about the trip to El Salvador was our wonderful tour guide, Vicky, who was super helpful explaining everybody’s meaningful stories, and it really touched my heart listening to them. I learned that everybody has their own problems living in El Salvador, whether it’s having no money or ending up losing their home trying to fight for their community’s problems.”
“In Washington, D.C., we also struggle with racism and people losing their homes from having poor income–just like the people in El Salvador. If I had not come on this trip, I would have never learned that racism and problems like that aren’t just in Washington, D.C., but also in other places like El Salvador.”
