Sunday, May 19, kicks off Dumbarton’s new worship series for Pentacost, “Fresh Wind, New Fire,” which runs through Sunday, June 30.
Come to church–in-person or on Zoom–wearing red to celebrate this new season!
Here’s a sample of what’s coming up on Sundays at Dumbarton in May and June:
- May 19: The Holy Spirit … Here … Now (Pentecost) – Acts 2:1-13
- May 26: Switched on (Empowered by the Spirit) – Acts 2:14-36 (A small group discussion will follow worship. Please bring a brown bag lunch!)
- June 2 (joint service with Mt. Zion UMC): Now What? (Responding to the Spirit) – Acts 2:37-4 (Don’t forget: Summer worship begins at 10 a.m on this Sunday. Stay afterwards for the coffee hour to follow worship,)
- June 9 (Pride Sunday): Get Up! (Personal and Social Restoration) – Acts 3:1-10 (Small group discussion on Zoom following worship.)
- June 16 (VBS): No Longer Afraid (Holy Boldness) – Acts 4:1-22
- June 23: Extravagant Generosity (Wealth Distribution) – Acts 4:32-37 (A small group discussion will be held after worship. Bring a brown bag lunch!)
- June 30: Hallelujah Anyhow (Martyrdom) – Acts 6:8-7:60
