Dumbarton represent!
Members of our congregation, including Rev. Rachel, will be attending the Reconciling Ministries Network 2023 Convocation, Oct. 13-15, in Charlotte, N.C. This in-person gathering (the first for the reconciling movement since 2020!) brings together United Methodists who celebrate LGBTQ+ persons as “a good expression of God’s diverse creation” while “working for the full participation of all LGBTQ+ people throughout the life and leadership of the Church” (more information on the RMN’s focus, mission, vision, etc., can be found here).
This year celebrates four decades of the reconciling movement–YAY!–and the event will offer attendees opportunities to network, attend workshops, listen to dynamic speakers, worship together and so much more.
