It’d be RUFF if you missed the chance to meet Murphy the Yellow Lab, and his best (human) friend, Joe, this coming Sunday, Oct. 8, so make plans now to attend Dumbarton’s Second Sunday Celebration of the Feast of St. Francis (at 10 a.m.)
Second Sundays at Dumbarton offer everyone the chance to participate in a fun, shared, intergenerational Sunday School experience with lots of hands-on activities as well as yummy refreshments.
Joe and Murphy are a therapy pet team from Pet Partners, and we’ll get to know more about their important work. The pair are regulars in schools, with kids who have special needs, nursing care facilities and other places where they bring the healing presence of animals.
There will also be a blessing of the (stuffed) animals, so children are welcome to bring their special soft toys from home.
