Dumbarton UMC will be hosting a joint program with Foundry UMC on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m., in our sanctuary about how the global conversation regarding the future of our denomination impacts local churches such as ours.
All are welcome to join this panel discussion and conversation which will explore questions such as:
- What can we expect to happen at General Conference and beyond?
- How can we organize to create a more just and inclusive UMC?
Panelists include Rev. Mark Holland, co-founder and executive director, Mainstream UMC, a United Methodist advocacy group “working for unity in the Body of Christ,” and Rev. Neal Christie, from the Love Your Neighbor Coalition, a partnership of 15 United Methodist Church-related Caucus groups “working for a just, inclusive, and grace-filled denomination.”
