Rev. Cesar Lodiha Akoka started a Volunteers in Mission club in his home town of Kinshasa, Congo as a way of putting Christian love into action. Volunteers in Mission groups work with orphans, widows, and other marginalized people in the community. Rev. Lodiha has strong Methodist roots, as one of nine children of two United Methodist pastors. He is now in the U.S. studying at American University.
